What is Bubble Tea?
Originating from Taiwan in the early 1980s, Bubble Tea got it's name from bubbly foam that formed on the surface when the drinks were shaken vigorously.
This was to ensure that the flavors infused well. Later, Tapioca pearls were added to the mixture, and the sight of these dark colored"bubbles" gently drifting to the bottom of the drink further enhanced its name.
The tapioca pearls are made from sweet potato, cassava root, and brown sugar, are chewy like gummy bears and have a lightly sweet flavor. They can also be added to any drinks including milkshakes and slushies, and with oversized straws can be drawn from the bottom of the infusion to the lips of happy customers.
it's a fun new twist on a classic drink and definitely sets the scene for bubbly fun!
After all, it's hard to be in a bad mood when chewing on bubbles.
